I couldn't resist. The colors of this metal flower were so vivid, that it almost shouted for a photograph. 

I know this is an old picture... I just couldn't resist. I was looking through my old pictures to do a backup when I found this cute picture of Ian the day of his baptism last summer. He looks like a little angel... and the fact that he is my Godson does NOT mean I am biased =). 

Don't ask me the name of this building because I have no idea. I can tell you is right by the river at the university in Iowa City and that it's pretty =) 

The ROTC had this great climbing wall on the area of the fair that the kids could not resist. Here is Billy half-way up the climb with the dome of the Old Capitol building in the background. 

It was pretty hard to decide what picture to put up today because I went to the Riverfest in Iowa City yesterday and the day was so beautiful (although chilly) that many nice pictures came out of it. The river and gardens where beautiful, as well as the pieces from the art festival. There were cute animals and I got pictures of a pygmy goat being born. Finally I decided on this two, although some of the others may show up here at a later date. 

Ok, so this may not be the greatest picture I have, but it fits today. This is the street outside my house about one hour ago at 4am. It had just stopped raining after a night of thunderstorms and I just liked how the water indirectly made things brigther. 

A beautiful sunset taken from Time Check park just a few blocks from the house. I was really glad that this picture came out with such well defined Crepuscular rays. 

What happens when Ian gets tired of riding his little bike? Well his big brother gives him a ride of course! 

Here is part of the train yard for Quaker Oats just across the river. The bike trail we visited yesterday runs paralell to the train tracks for the grain mill, so it was just a matter of pointing the camera over the fence and snapping the picture. The picture was taken in black and white so I just had to apply a film grain filter to make it look old. 

Today, Ian had his first bike ride. We went to a bike trail north of here that runs around a lake and let him and Sais run there. As we can see here, the biclycle got tired so it had to be carried while Ian had to walk the rest of the way. 

Just one picture for now. This is Holly at the same picnic where I took Brian's picture from a few days before. She just looked so cute playing with all the colored balls in the floor that I couldn't resist. 

Here are Brian and Sais having fun at the park a few days ago. Hopefully the weather will stay nice from now on and we'll have more days like this. 

Is finally the weekend! And a good thing is that the weather if finally getting warmer. This was the first flower I found in the "garden" this spring. The real one was only about an inch tall... gotta love the Macro setting in the camera =) .

No kids on this one, but I really like it anyway. Black and white pictures are my favorites, although I don't have many of them. This one was taken from my garage looking towards the alley.

A Start

I've been told by several people that they want to soo some of the pictures I've taken of my nephews and where I live, so while digging around my computer I figured that I have somany of them, that if I emailed all request, it would take forever... So here's my solution. Why not point them to a Blog where they could see them instead without having to wait for eternal downloads? So to start...
