OK, this may not be the greatest picture ever but is the best I've been able to get at night with the digital camera. The maxim time for the lens to open is 16 seconds so I thing it turned good for such a short time. *sigh* some day I'll get a good one with indefinite shutter time.

A pretty almost-sunset over the montains we grew up on. See that zigzag line down the steep mountain hill? That for the cows to move up and down the hill. Yep, just like them Iowa cattle.

Well my camera it's back, and it was nice enough to bring me back some great pictures. How I wish I had been the one there in front of that crystal clear water. Oh well... Well my regular camera has been gone for two weeks on vacation without me, that's why there have been no new pictures lately. I did catch this one with my camera phone on my way from work two mornings ago.IT was a really impressive cloud rising up from the lake. It was low enough when it crossed the interstate to the left, that it made it dark enough to turn on the car lights.
